samples for Shore and IRHD hardness verification

Gibitre certified test specimens are practical tools for systematically verifying the conformity of measurement results from your hardness testers between calibrations. Available for Shore A, Shore D, Shore M, IRHD-N, and IRHD-Micro scales, they enable ongoing performance checks of your instruments on tested materials.
Each specimen is supplied with a Calibration Report linked to the ACCREDIA‑calibrated durometer used, ensuring full traceability and result consistency. The ergonomic shape improves grip and minimizes heat transfer to the test area, while the thermally insulated case protects specimens from temperature variations and light to maintain stable test conditions.
Configurations include a set of five samples at approximately 40, 50, 60, 80, and 90 points within the selected scale, or a single-sample box. Ideal for routine verification of Shore and IRHD hardness testers in contexts referencing ISO 48-2 and ASTM D1415.
Overview
The use of certified samples permits to perform periodical verification of the conformity of the reading of your hardness testers in the period between two calibrations.
Periodical verification is useful considering the importance of hardness as a testing parameter.
Characteristics of the product
The hardness of elastomeric products is strongly influenced by the temperature. For this reason the samples produced by Gibitre have a shape that permits easy handling without transmitting the heat of the hand to the testing area.
The samples are provided with calibration Certificate with traceability to the certified hardness tester used for the measurements.
The samples are provide with an insulated protection case that permits the protection of the samples from temperature variations and from the light.
Available Configurations
Gibitre provides samples for testing Shore A, Shore D, IRHD-N and IRHD-Micro hardness.
The following configurations are available:
- Complete box including 5 samples with different hardness within the selected hardness scale (approximately 40 - 50 - 60 - 80 - 90)
- Box containing one single sample with one of the available hardness.
