Certified samples for Micro-Shore A hardness

Standards the instrument complies with:
ASTM D2240;   ISO 48-4;

Relying on dependable tools for hardness testing is essential, as this parameter is often decisive for product conformity. Gibitre Test Specimens are certified reference samples designed to verify the compliance status of your durometers between successive calibrations.

They enable intermediate verification of durometers used to measure the hardness of materials, in accordance with ISO 48-4 and ASTM D2240 methodologies. This supports continuous monitoring of instrument reliability between calibrations.

Each specimen features a geometry that allows handling without transferring heat to the measurement area. The stainless-steel stand ensures perfect flatness during measurement, while the wooden protection box shields the specimens from temperature changes and sunlight. Every unit is supplied with a Calibration Report, with full traceability to the certified instrument used for measurement.

Choosing Gibitre Test Specimens delivers more reliable, traceable hardness control between calib

Overview
The use of certified samples permits to perform periodical verification of the conformity of the reading of your hardness testers in the period between two calibrations.

According to ISO 48-4 Standard (par. 10.2):'Instruments in regular use shall be checked at least each week against standard rubber blocks.'

Periodical verification is useful considering the importance of hardness as a testing parameter.
