Shore Hardness: Test Results
Below you can find the description of the test results produced by Hardness Check software



 

Shore Hardness 
The calculation returns the SHORE Hardness in conformity with ISO 48-4 standard. The Hardness is obtained by measuring the indentation of the indentor after the set test time.

REFERENCE STANDARD: ISO 48-4 / ASTM D 2240

Angle Coefficient of Hardness Regression line  
The calculation returns the angle of the Regression Line of the Hardness-Vs-Time Curve plot in Logarithmic axes.
The angle coefficient provides usefull information about the visco-elastic behavior of the sample during the test. Measures performed on the same product can be used to compare the curing level of different samples or technical parts.
The result is obtained automatically during the standard execution of the hardness test.

RESOLUTION: 0.01 Shore/sec




Maximum Hardness 
The calculation returns the Maximum Shore reading at the beginning of the test time.
The Initial hardness has normally a higher value in comparison with the hardness after the set test time.

The result is obtained automatically during the standard execution of the hardness test.

Room temperature during the test 
This calculation permits to store the recording of the room temperature measured by the instrument when the test is performed.
Note: the temperature has an important influence on the hardness of rubber and plastic.

This calculation permits to store the recording of the temperature of the sample measured by the instrument when the test is performed. The temperature has an important influence on the hardness of rubber and plastic.
