The flexometer for dynamic ozone testing is used to evaluate the resistance of rubber products to ozone exposure under dynamic conditions.
Gibitre’s 10-position sample holder, which fits inside the test chamber, is designed to perform dynamic material resistance tests in accordance with ISO 1431-1, ASTM D1149, and SAE J1401. It allows for testing up to ten specimens in a single session at a rate of 3 to 30 cycles per minute, optimizing test management and the comparability of results. The touchscreen display allows you to set the number of oscillations and the frequency; upon reaching the programmed value, the flexometer stops automatically, ensuring controlled and repeatable testing.
To accommodate different measurement specifications, the instrument offers mechanical adjustment of the distance between the clamps (default setting 50 mm) and the stroke of the movable clamp from 2.5 to 30 mm, equivalent to 5–60% of a 50 mm specimen according to the standard. This allows for the precise reproduction of the conditions required by the standards and the verification of resistance under representative dynamic conditions.
Device, in compliance with ISO 1431, ASTM D1149 and SAE J1401, to be inserted into test chamber for the study of ozone resistance of cured rubber under dynamic conditions (from 3 to 30 cycles/min - 0.05 to 0.5 Hz).
Up to 10 samples can be tested at the same time
The instrument's Touch-Screen Display allows you to set:
• The number of swings to be made
• The Oscillation frequency
The instrument will stop automatically when the set number of oscillations is reached
The instrument allows the mechanical adjustment of:
• the distance between the clamps for fixing or specimens (default 50 mm)
• the stroke performed by the mobile clamp: from 2.5 to 30 mm (between 5% and 60% for 50 mm specimen in accordance with the standards)
The Dynamic Tester is inserted into the test chamber using the motorized winch.
The same winch allows you to lift the device to check the condition of the specimens.
The lifting winch is controlled by the interlocked safety device which inhibits its operation if the ozone concentration inside the chamber is above the safety limits (10 pphm)
