Compression Set - Standard
Instrument for the execution of Compression set test at constant deformation.
Overview
The device complies with ISO 815, ASTM D 395 Method B, DIN 53 517 standards.
The instruments consist of:
• Stainless steel platens (2 or 3);
• 4 stainless steel spacers with standard or custom thickness.
• 4 Bolts for closure of the platens for high temperature application.
How to perform a test
To perform a test:
1) Insert the samples between the test plates
2) insert the spacers requestd to obtai the expected deformation
3) Close the bolts until the plates come in contact with the spacers to apply the expected deformation
3) Place the whole device in an oven at the set temperature and for the desired test time
4) Remove the device from the oven and mesure the permanent deformation using the procedure described in the standards
Surface Rugosity of the plates
• The measurement of the surface roughness of the device is reported in the calibration report of the instrument and guarantees full compliance with the requirements of the standards.
• The Identification Code imprinted on the Plates guarantees the traceability of the measurements made.
