AITM 2_003 Measure the burning rate of materials used in aircraft interiors
AITM 2_003 establishes the procedure for evaluating tensile strength and elongation at break of fiber-reinforced polymer matrix composites through uniaxial tensile testing. Applicable to both thermoset and thermoplastic composite materials used in aerospace and industrial applications, this method involves mounting standardized specimens in a tensile testing machine to measure maximum load capacity and corresponding deformation until failure.
