Installation of Gibitre Instruments Software
This page describes how Gibitre Programs can be installed to optimize the performance of your laboratory

Installation of Standard Version
The standard version of Gibitre programs is ideal if only one or few instruments are used.
The program and the database are installed on a single PC. The installation is very easy and is carried out using the Gibitre Program Installer.

Installation of Network Version
The network version of Gibitre programs is ideal:
- when you have more then one Gibitre instrument
- when instruments need to be installed on different PCs
- when you want to collect data in a single database for preparing multi-instrument reports
- when you want to view the control activity from other PCs connected to the network.
The Network version permits the use of different PCs connected through a LAN and enables you to install the programs for instrument usage or data inspection according to your needs and to the number of licenses available.
The installation of the network version is very simple:
The SQL database is installed on a company server or on one of the PCs connected to the network
The usage programs are installed on the PCs using the Gibitre Program Installer.

Several instruments connected to the same PC
Many instruments can be installed on the same PC.
Each instrument is connected to one of the Serial or USB ports of the PC.
The instruments can be used independently and at the same time.
The number of PCs should be defined according to the number of technicians needing to work at the same time with the instruments.
