Gibitre Instruments Tensile Tester control software
Release[8.0]
The software permits to set automatically the instrument according to the selected test procedure, to perform the tests, to prepare test reports, to store curves and data.
General Access to the software with customer-defined passwords. Three access levels with different access rights are available. On line selectable usage language (available languages are English, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Portugherse and Chinese) Automatic setting of the instrument according to customer defined test procedures.
Test Identification The tests are identified by inserting Product, Customer, Aging Treatment, Order code, Lot code and Batch number. When the test is stored, the software automatically adds Test Date, Test Time, Software User and test identification number.
|
Graph The curves of the tests performed on the same product are displayed in different colours to permit immediate identification of corresponding results. Storage of all test curves at the end of the test Graph functions are available (zoom, cursors, selection of the colours of the curves, scale set)
Results Calculation Calculation of up to 20 customer-defined test results for each test procedure (See the list of available calculation for a detailed description) Calculation of statistic results of the test performed (max, min, average, Std. Dev., Cp, Cpk). Unsatisfactory tests can be repeated or excluded form statistic calculation and test report
Tolerance Control Tolerance limits for each product and for customer-defined results can be calculated from statistical analysis of stored results or inserted manually (see datagest software). Both Graph and numerical tolerance limits can be displayed and printed (see image 1) Checking of conformity of test results with tolerance limits is automatically carried out at the end of the test.

- Software Pages
Main Page All necessary information is displayed on the page: Test Status, Test Identification, Graphs, Tolerance limits, previous test results.
Selection of Test procedure A wide range of test procedures in compliance with the most commonly used International Standards are completely defined in the standard database installed with the instrument. Preparing customer defined test procedures is easy and is carried out using the Wizard Procedure Generator provided with the program Datagest. When a test must be performed according to a specific test procedure, it should simply be selected in the database. When a procedure is selected the instruments automatically sets according to the requirements.
Test Configuration Page If customer-defined test procedures are created, all test parameters can be set: the kind of sample to test, the load cell to use, the units to be displayed on the graph, the relative base scales, eventual use of the extensometer, etc.
Test Cycle Page If customer-defined test procedures are created, the software permits to prepare customer-defined test cycles. The cycle is created as a simple sequence of basic operations
Test identification page The user can select the Customer, the Product and the eventual Aging Treatment carried out on the sample and can insert Order, Lot and Batch number for the products to test. Note: The "Job" is a special field that can be used with the Network version of the software to insert the test identification using a bar code reader (see Network version description)
Tests made using a number of samples Most international standards require repetition of the test using various samples. The software permits to insert as many samples as you need and eventually to eliminate or repeat unsatisfactory tests. The curves obtained are displayed in different colours to enable immediate identification of corresponding results. The statistics of the results is automatically calculated (min, max, average, median, Standard Deviation, Cp and Cpk)
Calculation of sample area Many test procedures require the Area of each sample to be calculated. The software enables automatic calculation of the average (or minimum, or median) area to be made by inserting the thickness of the sample in various points using the (optional) gauge meter. The area is calculated using the calculation function defined for the kind of sample used depending on the selected test procedure.
Selection of the kind of sample to use For each test procedure a defined type of sample is selected. A wide range of pre-defined test samples are included in the pre-installed database. In addition, customer-defined kinds of sample can be inserted by defining sample dimensions, sample image, area calculation formula, gauge length calculation formula.
Printout set-up page You can select the language, insert or edit your company logo, choose if you want to print graphs, statistic, tolerance limits, notes and the complete test configuration The test report may be printed or saved on a file
