ISO 17025 Accreditation
GibItre Instruments' metrological laboratory was appointed as an accredited SIT calibration centre in March 2005 by the Gustavo Colonetti Primary Italian Metrological Institute.
Calibration is carried out on the basis of SIT Accreditation No. 182.
The SIT Centre quality system is in compliance with UNI EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard.

SIT - Calibration Service in Italy
In 1979 The Primary Metrological Institutes IMGC/CNR, IEN and INMRI/ENEA, through their Accreditation Organizations, formed SIT, CALIBRATION SERVICE IN ITALY; a number of Italian metrological laboratories were appointed as SIT Calibration Centres, for the different sizes of structure.
SIT, through experts in the primary national and international Institutes, used as technical inspectors, carries out accreditation procedures for first time users, maintenance, renewal, extension or modification of accreditation.

EA (European Cooperation for Accreditation)
EA (European Cooperation for Accreditation) is the organization which coordinates the national calibration services founded and recognized in numerous countries within Europe and beyond to further agreements of mutual recognition. Through these agreements, each signee recognizes the operational procedures of accreditation used in the metrological laboratories of the other nations' Services.
