Refurbishing of old Instruments

Gibitre Instruments offers the possibility to refurbish old instruments. This activity is usefull in case spare parts are no more available for the instrument and in case you want to update the technology of your instrument without changing it.

Which Instruments can be refurbished ?
Gibitre Instrument refurbishes both instruments produced by Gibitre and instruments produced by other manufacturers. Contact our technical service for more information about the feasibility of refurbishing your instrument

How is the refurbishing process carried out ?
The refurbishing work is carried out at Gibitre's production facility in Italy.
All parts required for the refurbishing are prepared before the agreed date of delivery of the instrument to minimize the time required for the work.
The time required for the refurbishing depends on the kind of instrument (for a rheometer, viscometer or tensile tester 10 days are normally required).
At the end of refurbishing, testing and calibration, the instrument is sent back to the customer using the packing originally used.

Warranty conditions for refurbished instruments
All the new parts installed on the instrument are covered by a one-year standard Gibitre warranty.

Advantages of Gibitre refurbishing
Main advantages are as follows:
- the electronic cards used to upgrade the PC controlled instruments permit direct connection of standard PCs. No electronic cards need to be inserted in the PC which would limit the possibility of changing the PC in the future.
- the electronic cards used have the same technology as the ones used for new instruments.
- the software used for the connection is the same as the software used for new instruments.
- a complete revision of the instrument is made during refurbishing.
