Gibitre was founded in 1979 and as a company dealing with a wide range of activities in the rubber industry including rubber compounding, rubber moulding and rubber control instruments production.
Gibitre Instruments was created as a separate company in 2001.

Aim
The aim of Gibitre Instruments S.r.l. is the development, production and marketing on world scale of a wide range of instruments for laboratory rubber and plastic testing.
The company provides maintenance and calibration after-sell services for the complete range of instruments produced.

Objective
The goal that the company wants to achieve is to improve the position of recognized technological partner for all issues related with control of rubber and polymers.
The tools for the persecution of the goal are:
Development of internal know-how by means of:
- Cooperation agreements with key-customers
- Participation to International test programs
- Participation to technical commission for the development of international test standards.
Improvement of the products by means of:

Development of products
Gibitre Instruments continuously develops new instruments in conformity with international standards and updates existing products to meet the new needs of the customers
The complete design of the products is made using 3D CAD system
Mechanical parts both for new and established instruments are produced inside by the company job-shop using modern 5-axes machines
Electronic cards and Software are developed and produced in cooperation with specialized external partners
Incoming control and a complete testing of finished products ensure that the quality of Gibitre Products meets the highest standards.

Gibitre distributors
Gibitre Instruments has been selecting distributors and agents for its products all around the world.
The partners are chosen considering their technical knowledge of the rubber and plastic technology and of the market.
Continuous training is provided to the distributors to improve their capability to answer to customer’s requests.

Technical assistance & calibration
The aim of the Technical Assistance Service provided by Gibitre is: - Periodic maintenance and calibration made using calibration instruments with traceability to certified reference instruments and issuing of relevant certificates
- Repairing of anomalies on installed instruments
- Statistical analysis of the anomalies for the continuous improvement of the service and of the products
In some countries the assistance service is done directly from the main office whereas in the others it is delegated through technical training of local personnel. Specific training programs are prepared both for internal technician and for technicians of agencies providing maintenance and calibration service.
Free phone and e-mail assistance is provided to all Gibitre customers directly from the main office.
Delivery of spare parts in case of failure is normally made within 24 hours from problem detection.
The efficiency of this service is continuously improved according to the statistical analysis of anomalies.

Accredited ACCREDIA calibration service
Gibitre Instruments’ metrological laboratory was appointed as an accredited ACCREDIA calibration laboratory in 2005.
Calibration is carried out on the basis of ACCREDIA Accreditation No.182.
The quality system of the ACCREDIA laboratory is in compliance with ISO 17025 Standard.
The measures Gibitre Instruments is accredited for are IRHD (Micro, Normal, Hard, Low) according to ISO 48 and Shore (A and D) according to ISO 868.
